TWU supports various scholarship opportunities specifically intended for international students. Initial students are eligible for merit-based scholarships only for the first year.

  • TWU Pioneer Scholarship System - database of TWU scholarships opportunities
  • Good Neighbor Scholarship (Available in January) - This state of Texas scholarship provides a complete waiver of tuition to eligible international students from countries in the Caribbean and North, Central, and South America. Scholarship recipients must still pay all applicable university fees. Awards are based on academic merit. Competition is intense and final award decisions are made by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, not TWU.
As per TWU policy, all new international, newly transferred international students, and those considered to be International who were born in, resided in, or traveled to a country other than the United States, are required to have completed the screening process for tuberculosis (TB Blood testing only) prior to registering for class. Your TB hold must be cleared before you will be able to register for classes. Explore Tuberculosis Screening Requirements
