Applications for admission to TWU are processed as they are received, without regard to semester deadlines. Admission to TWU is not complete until all documents required by the ISSS office have been received and validated by the Designated School Official (DSO). If the immigration deadline has passed, students who are out-of-the-country may be accepted to TWU but will need to defer admission to the next available semester.

TWU ISSS will make every effort to process your Form I-20 in time for you to obtain an F-1 visa if you need to renew. However, there is no guarantee you will obtain a visa in time to begin your studies in your preferred semester. You may have to defer to the next available semester. Please be aware that upon transfering to a new institution, a student does not need to return to their home country for an updated Visa with the change in school name. If your Visa is not about to expire, you may continue to use the original Visa that you entered the U.S. with while attending another school.

Flowchart for I-20 issuance

Your Transfer I-20 will be emailed to you. Please print and sign it, and keep it as your original. Once your attendance is verified by the ISSS office, you will be issued a Continued Attendance I-20 via email.
TWU supports various scholarship opportunities specifically intended for international students. First year students are eligible for merit-based scholarships only.  Explore Scholarship Opportunities
As per TWU policy, all new international students, newly transferred international students, and those considered to be international students who were born in, resided in, or traveled to a country other than the United States, are required to have completed the screening process for tuberculosis (TB Blood testing only) prior to registering for class. Your TB hold must be cleared before you will be able to register for classes. Explore Tuberculosis Screening Requirements

Transfer students with a negative TB blood test that is less than one year old may submit that result to TWU Student Health Services. If your TB blood test result is older than one year, you may have an updated TB blood test administered on the TWU campus. Please allow 4-5 days to get results.
Orientation is mandatory for all new and transfer international students studying on an F1 Visa at TWU. More details regarding International Student Orientation, arriving on campus, placement tests, and health insurance will be provided once you are accepted to TWU.
