J-1 Exchange Visitors

We are thrilled that you are considering making Texas Woman's University your future home away from home. At TWU, we strive to cultivate engaged leaders and global citizens; ultimately with the goal of inspiring excellence and a pioneering spirit in our students, staff & alumni.

To begin the process of coming to Texas Woman's University as an Exchange Visitor, please complete the Initial Exchange Visitor/Visiting Scholar Request

You can access previously submitted or in-progress requests by navigating to the International Student Portal User Home Page

Once you have arrived in the United States, you will need to complete an Exchange Visitor Arrival Documentation Request. You will be asked to submit a series of documents that pertain to your immigration status. Please note that completing the Exchange Visitor Arrival Documentation Request is a time-sensitive matter. Upon completion of your request, International Student and Scholar Services will assist with validating your SEVIS record. The validation of a J-1 SEVIS record in SEVIS must be done within 30 days of the program start date that is listed on your DS-2019.

If you are not able to arrive within 30 days of your program start date as listed on your DS-2019, please contact International Student and Scholar Services immediately.

You can access a previously submitted or in-progress Exchange Visitor Arrival Documentation Request form by navigating to the International Student Portal User Home Page
