Travel Information
Current Travel Considerations for International Students
Due to reports of additional screening of international students and non U.S. citizens returning to the United States, please review the following information. If travel is non-essential and you have the ability to remain in the U.S. this summer, please reconsider international travel. If you must travel, please follow the guidelines on this page from TWU's Legal Services office for information on what to expect and how to manage your re-entry into the U.S.
It is important to plan ahead when it comes to international travel. International students must carry certain documentation with them during their travels.
You must have a Continued Attendance I-20 (or a Transfer I-20 from TWU) signed by a DSO endorsing travel. The signature must not be older than 1 year. You may request a new I-20 if the signature is close to a year old. Students on OPT & STEM OPT Extension should obtain a travel signature from a DSO every 6 months for international travel.
